BNB Chain node
A dedicated BSC node. Keep pace with BNB Chain.
A BSC node of your own gives your app a private line into BNB Chain. BNB Chain is where trading bots, DEX front ends and token launches live, and a shared endpoint is a slow place to be there.

02Node type
BSC full node, fast node or archive node?
BNB Chain documents three node types. We rent the full node, and here is how it compares with the other two.
Full node
$219/mo
- Keeps
- Current state and the history apps need, with state checks left switched on
- Query
- Contract reads, balances, eth_getLogs and sending transactions
- Cannot
- Answer for old states. That takes an archive node
- Disk
- BNB Chain advises 3 TB or more of SSD. Its pruned snapshot is about 1.9 TB and its full snapshot about 7.4 TB
About the other two
A fast node skips some state checks for speed. An archive node keeps every old state and is much bigger. We rent the full node only.

03How it works
How a BSC node works: one program does everything.
Unlike Ethereum, a BNB Chain node is a single client. There is no second program to pair with it.
BSC client
A fork of Geth from the bnb-chain/bsc repository. It follows the chain, holds state and runs the EVM.
No second client
Nothing else has to run beside it, so there is no start order to get wrong.
Your endpoint
JSON-RPC on nodes.herorpc.com. Peers connect on port 30303.
The software is a fork of Geth, so Ethereum tooling such as ethers and web3 talks to it unchanged.
BNB Chain advises that JSON-RPC should not be opened to the outside world. Your private endpoint handles that.
Peers need 30303 on TCP for the listener and UDP for discovery.
04Know the field
Disk by BSC node type, with this month’s snapshots.
BNB Chain publishes guidance per node type and monthly snapshots. Put together, they show how fast the chain fills a disk.
Snapshots are monthly. The Erigon figure is a used size from a page dated January 2025, with a 5 TB minimum disk.

05BNB Chain, specifically
Six BNB Chain facts for anyone running a node.
From the official operator pages and the BSC repository.
Snapshots, not genesis
Syncing from genesis is marked not recommended. Start from a snapshot, and expect snapshots to be refreshed monthly.
Fast mode trades checks for speed
A fast node turns off trie verification with --tries-verify-mode none. It suits readers who care little about state consistency.
Logs have a window
The default start flags keep a recent window of logs for eth_getLogs. Turning log history off makes eth_getLogs slower.
Keep 8545 shut
JSON-RPC on 8545 is not meant for the open internet. Peers use 30303.
Numbers to watch
BNB Chain lists alert levels: a transaction pool above 5000, block import above 3 seconds, RPC latency above 100 milliseconds.
Stop it gently
A forced kill can lead to a long resync, so BSC nodes should be stopped gracefully.

06Who rents one
Who rents a dedicated BSC node.
BNB Chain rewards speed. These teams pay for it.
MEV, arbitrage and sniping bots
Latency to your own node decides who lands the trade. A shared line adds delay you cannot control.
DEX aggregators and trading front ends
Constant eth_call and eth_getLogs traffic with no meter running.
Token launchpads and airdrops
Launch days bring a wall of requests. Your own endpoint takes the load.
Exchanges and wallets
Crediting BEP-20 deposits means scanning stablecoin transfers all day.
07Price check
A BSC node against the usual quotes.
Allnodes lists its BNB price, which makes the bar fair. Two others publish a figure too.

10Questions
BSC node questions
Real questions from node operators, answered plainly.
What is a BSC full node?
A node that verifies the BNB Chain, holds the current state and answers your app over JSON-RPC. It prunes old state, which is what separates it from an archive node.
How do I run a BNB Chain node?
Download a snapshot, start the BSC client with the recommended flags, and let it catch up. Or rent one and receive the endpoint ready to use.
Why is my BSC node not syncing despite the recommended settings?
BNB Chain moves a lot of data, so check whether the disk and hardware keep up. The best practices page sets targets: a transaction pool under 5000 and block import under 3 seconds.
Why did sync get slow after a version upgrade?
Operators have reported it after jumps between releases. Check the release notes, and consider a fresh snapshot if the node stays behind.
What is a fast node on BNB Chain?
A mode that skips some state verification, set with a flag, for readers who care little about state consistency. BNB Chain lists it with a smaller disk guide than a full node.
Can I get a BSC archive node from you?
No. We rent the full node only. BNB Chain’s own Erigon archive guide lists 4.3 TB used and a 5 TB minimum, a much larger class of machine.
Is it safe to open port 8545?
BNB Chain advises against it. JSON-RPC should not face the outside world, which is why you reach a rented node through a private endpoint.
Does BNB Chain use the same tools as Ethereum?
Yes. The client is a Geth fork, so ethers, web3 and wallets that accept a custom RPC URL all work.
What does a BNB Chain node cost a month?
$219 a month. Setup costs nothing, and a prepaid term of 3, 6 or 12 months takes 10, 15 or 25 percent off.
How quickly is a BSC endpoint available?
A day at most. Once it is synced, your BSC dashboard page lists the endpoint and logins.
Trade on BNB Chain with a line of your own.
$219 a month for a full node, with a backup node beside it and an endpoint within 24 hours.
